Dec 4 - Feb 5, 2017
What should you expect?
You will arrive on Sunday afternoon and get acquainted with camp. There will be a camp meeting that evening for rules, etc. The hunt starts Monday morning; you will be transported to your location by one of the guides every time out to hunt. We pick the stands determined by wind direction, time of year, phases of movement, and current scouting information from trail cams to personal experience.
You can expect to hunt from hang-on stands with ladder sticks, ladder stands, and ground blinds all strategically placed for the best shot opportunity possible. Each hunter is responsible for scent control, safety precautions (such as a safety harness), and practicing with your weapon before you arrive. You will not be allowed to hunt without a safety harness!
What should I bring?
- Any medicine you need (alert us of health problems)
- Tuned weapon for the season you’re booked for
- Safety harness
- Proper clothes for inclement weather
- Practice arrows
- Boots
- Scent control products (hair, soap, deodorant)
- Your favorite pillow if you want
- Most importantly bring your manners and respect for other clients, employees, and our leases
* We do not encourage alcohol in camp but it is allowed in a controlled manner
** Tips are greatly appreciated for the guides and cooks
Forget something?
We’re not far from Miller’s Gun & Supply, a local sporting goods store, for anything you may have forgotten or would like to buy when you get here
Where do I go?
All hunters should arrive at the Wicked Ridge Lodge located at 11104 Township Road 67 Killbuck, OH 44637 on Sunday afternoon unless otherwise instructed.

Fine Print
We have a 140” gross minimum on 90% of our farms and a 135” minimum on a few farms that are harder to manage because of the size (these farms are still great tracts for a true trophy).
There is a fine of $800.00 if you shoot a deer under the minimum size requirement. If you draw blood on a deer from a bad or faulty shot and it cannot be recovered your hunt is over. If you choose, you may pay a wounding fee of $600.00 and you will be allowed to finish your hunt. These rules are in place to keep our management goals on track and to discourage clients from taking poor shots.
There are times we will allow a client to shoot a below minimum buck that we consider a cull buck. Wicked Ridge was created for the hunter that has a true understanding of what hunting mature bucks is all about or would like to learn and invest in our program. Please note, this is a wild hunt and there are no guarantees that you will be successful. We will do our best to make it happen but we will not drive deer for any reason.
No refunds or exchanges.
